There was a soft spot in the floor below the toilet. This has been an issue for a long time. We put a new floor over the old one, installed vinyl flooring (looks like wood). Replaced the old wax seal on the toilet, and leveled the bathtub and replaced the wall panel below it. I\u2019m happy with the way it turned out. Although I\u2019ll miss the vintage green linoleum (which had been covered in blue carpet for a few months to hide the previous temporary fix to the floor \u2013 plus I still have the green floor in the kitchen!) I think the wood style vinyl goes well with my 70s era bathroom. I think I will leave the paneling below the tub as is instead of wallpapering it like I had before.\u00a0 I like the contrast.\n
